History
   Investment Casting Society was established in January 2006 with the hope of playing a vital role in boosting the manufacturing sector especially in the field of precision investment casting. Towards its formation we have had great support and blessing of Dr.Gopal Prasad Sinha, the President of newly formed “Investment Casting Society” and honorable director of Central Mechanical Engineering Research Institute and Prof. P. Ramachandra Rao, former V.C. of Benaras Hindu University. Others who put their heart and soul efforts in the formation of the society are Dr. BN Mondal, Secretary of ICS & Head of Centre for Advance Material Processing, CMERI, Dr. Jhankar Basu, Dy. Director& Head, Human Resource Development of CMERI and Prof. G.L. Datta, Professor IIT, Kharagpur. Investment Casting Society of India (ICS) is an interdisciplinary professional society, newly brought into being as a platform of the researchers academicians, industrialist for the exchange of views, sharing knowledge in the field of challenges on precision near net shape achievement of the critical engineering components. Since it’s formation, it has been receiving a magical response from different sectors like chemical industry, heavy engineering, machinery, and transportation, etc.
